Keren trained as an Occupational Therapist in South Africa and has worked as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist in various community, school and private clinic settings in South Africa, Qatar and in Australia.
She is passionate about supporting children and their families in their early developmental years and has special interest in using creative, fun, and functional ways to support children in developing their motor and regulation skills so that they are able to successfully participate in their everyday occupations. She has done training in DIR/Floortime approach, which she finds particularly beneficial in to use with younger clients to meet them where they are at, and build on their strengths.
She is also Talk for Writing trained and loves using this approach as a tool to aid school aged children in their handwriting and literacy development. On a personal note, she is also a mother and home-schools her 2 young, energetic boys and is grateful to use her creativity and professional skills to supplement their education.
Her leisure time is spent enjoying her family and the beautiful beaches of WA - swimming, surfing, and taking copious amounts of photographs. She also loves cooking delicious food and hosting friends around her family dining room table. Music is another passion of hers and she has played the piano and enjoyed singing from a young age, and enjoys bringing song into her therapy sessions too.
