Mel is a fun and enthusiastic play-based Speech Pathologist with a Bachelor degree in Speech Pathology from Edith Cowan University.

Mel takes a holistic view to therapy, working collaboratively with families, teachers, and allied health professionals (occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dieticians and psychologists) to achieve the best outcome for her clients. She has experience providing therapy at schools, day care, clients home and within a clinical setting. Mel has also presented informational sessions to school staff and parents on the role of a speech pathologist and when speech therapy should be accessed. Her areas of special interest include speech sound disorders including Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), early language, and early literacy.
In her spare time, Mel enjoys spending quality time with her husband, 3 teenage children, and her 2 cats. Mel is a passionate sports mum, on weekends she is either at the local rugby club, cheer competition or riding school supporting her children in their chosen sports. She is wholly committed to making therapy fun, by implementing a play-based approach to therapy. ​​
